Website Research/Analysis

The website I am going to analyse can be accessed through this hyperlink: The Call of Duty Wiki - Call of Duty: Black Ops, Modern Warfare 2

This website is primarily based on the features in Modern Warfare 2 and available unlockable content. It also contains useful information about the game including the synopsis and there is some extra content that displays certain secrets in the game that aren't necessary but are fun to discover.

My website is going to be based primarily on several tactics that can be used in multiplayer to improve your gaming ability and get better scores. This guide is going to give you sufficient results instantaneously but it will help you to concentrate on certain aspects of your playing type and if you need to change your habits to become a better player. I will also contribute useful hints and tips that may also help.

Analysis:

-The website features alot of useful information that is extremely helpful to any player that is interested in the game and it's creator.

-It's design is comprised of concept artwork from the actual game making it appealing to anybody that is intrigued about Modern Warfare 2.

-Not only does the website consist of background information and trivia for the game, It also features information about weaponry, equipment and the several types of special forces and enemies you will encounter through singleplayer.

-The website also includes information about other video games in the call of duty franchsise.

-There is also a discussion forum for any game based topic that people are willingly to discuss.

-The website is overwhelming and doesn't have a guide of how to even begin to collate the information it displays and how to go about manoeuvring through the various web pages it consists of.

- The community can contribute information about the game but it may not necessarily be completely accurate unless it is read over by a website manager.

This website is similar the website previously discussed but there are some differences.

Although it features a similar design and concept it also has some optional activities that one can participate in. With all the information it includes about the game, the website is sufficient enough for people who are interested about the game and it's creator.

Some things I like about the website:

-There is alot of background information about certain aspects of the game such as discussion among certain weaponry the game features and how and when it was designed and became to be used.

- The community forum on the website is very helpful an you practically receive mostly instant answers to your questions or queries you have about the game.

Some things I disliked:

-Although the website is full with information, It can be difficult to find your way around through the numerous web pages within.

-  Although there is extra activities present on the website like a Callsign Generator, the website needs some sort of community discussion thread that can be accessed by members of the website to comment with feedback or their opinions of the how the website should look. Even insert some sort of prize system for the best entry.

Information is collected in a seperate folder at home :)
